National Director of Technology & Operations
(1995 – Present)

  • Selected by the Board of Directors to develop and staff a state-of-the art information technology department to fully support the long term growth and expansion of the organization. Plan and manage $2 million annual operating budget.
  • Successfully planned and directed the company's productivity systems migration (word processing and document management) from a DOS to a Windows 95/NT environment, with no significant decrease in providing firm-wide support, document quality and output.
  • Initiated the creation of a "Technology Task Force", comprised of end-users IS staff, and senior management, to ensure the needs of the company are being met.
  • Developed a strong departmental infrastructure to fully support the organizations growth and rapidly increasing need for technology support at all levels.
  • Created extensive Wide Area Network using T1 and Frame Relay Technology to connect all nine offices.
  • Established organization-wide Internet E-mail systems.
  • Expanded support with no additional manpower requirements through expanded use of Groupwise and Lotus Notes.
  • Eliminated duplicate data by fully integrating marketing, mailing list, human resources, payroll and records.
  • Negotiated the cost effective purchase and lease of hardware upgrades (dual LAN servers) desktops, laptops, hubs, routers and peripherals resulting in maximum utilization of productivity enhancements.
  • Implemented national asset management/inventory control system to fully integrate and capitalize on existing resources.
  • Controlled fixed expenditures and ensured migration success by outsourcing critical technology upgrades and initial end-user training.
  • Participated in the design, content and marketing of the firm's web page.

  • Conducted comprehensive industry technology analysis to provide senior management principals with strategic plan for company-wide technology upgrade. Prepared and managed $4.6 million project budget.

  • Upgraded technology personnel which effectively eliminated the cost of external consultants, saving over $250,000 on a recurring annual basis.
